Will Power is living up to his name by continuing to recuperate on schedule following his huge accident at the Infineon Speedway two weekends ago. The Australian Penske driver suffered lost teeth, fractures to vertebrae and concussion as a result of the Saturday practice accident with Nelson Philippe but is expected to return fully recovered for the 2010 season.
With Philippe's car having spun on the crest of the hill at Turn 3a of the Sears Point track, Power was helpless to avoid the sickening impact when t-boning the side of the Conquest Racing car.

"It feels great to be home," Power said after returning to Indianapolis. "I'm feeling better and stronger every day and I really have to say thanks for all the good wishes and support." The 28-year-old is now wearing a tailor-made back brace and will continue physiotherapy until the beginning of next year.
"We've heard from so many people in the IndyCar community and the fans have been great - they've really helped keep my spirits up," Will continued. "I especially want to thank Roger Penske, Tim Cindric and the Penske Racing team for all they've done. It means so much to be part of this team."
