Briscoe scores pole at Watkins Glen

Ryan Briscoe will start Sunday's race at Watkins Glen from pole position. It is the Australian's second pole position of the season as he managed to keep Justin Wilson and Scott Dixon behind him. Dario Franchitti crashed in the final stage of qualifying.

Ryan Briscoe might have to thank Dario Franchitti for his pole position. Justin Wilson had one set of new tyres left but as there was time for just one flying lap after the marshalls cleared the track from Franchitti's crash it was impossible to set that timed lap already in the first lap.

In the second row we'll see Mario Moreaus being joined by Graham Rahal and Dario Franchitti. Right behind them Mike Conway, Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti completing the third row.
